Context

UK homecare agencies coordinate hundreds of daily visits to vulnerable people under strict record-keeping regulation. They were juggling spreadsheets, phone calls and separate tools for scheduling, care records and payroll.

What I did

Lead contributor on the API and the web portal, on a product live for more than two years:

API (NestJS / TypeScript): user, visit and wage domains, test-covered and shipped through Docker and CI/CD.
Management portal (Next.js / React) covering the business end to end — rostering and roster templates, visits, timesheets, care plans and assessments, medication management, holidays, contracts, carers and guardians, invoicing and a wage-computation studio, reporting.
A separate client portal for families and service users.
Duplicate booking detection and audit logs, required by sector compliance.
